Role purpose:

Role purpose:
The Admissions Consutant plays a pivotal role in shaping the enrollment of Hoi An International School (HAIS). As a key member of the Administration Team, you’ll provide comprehensive support to the Admissions Director in managing all aspects of the student recruitment process. You’ll be responsible for creating a welcoming and informative experience for prospective families while also ensuring a smooth and efficient admissions process.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to attract, enrol, and retain students at HAIS;
- To execute efficient and streamlined processes for all stages of student recruitment, such as inquiry, school tour, application and assessment, with a strong focus on the conversion of inquiries to Enrolment;
- To reply to inquiries about the School via multiple channels: telephone, email, website, social media, etc.;
- Answer the Admissions hotline, canvass inquiries and direct calls to the appropriate staff;
- Ensure all inquiries and enrolments are accurately maintained on the database/school system with relevant documents attached and filed appropriately;
- To actively work with other departments to facilitate recruitment of students (i.e. Marketing department to develop campaigns, Facilities and Administrations to support Admissions Events and Finance to support payment of fees);
- Throughout the school year work as part of the Administration Team in the preparation of HAIS events;
- To update the database with student amendments in liaison with the Head of Administration and Operations, Administration Officers, Finance Team and other relevant departments;
- Maintain parent/student records and associated correspondence via the Admissions Email, Social Media and Database;
- To assist with the preparation of student induction as needed;

Pastoral/ Student Wellbeing:
● Interact with parents on academic and pastoral matters, including following upon student reports, parent-teacher meetings and support school calendar events;
● Support the school’s pastoral and support systems designed for greater student well-being;
● Create and implement sector-specific and school-wide pastoral programs and initiatives;
● Act as a point of contact for students, provide pastoral care to those in your care and the school;
● Design and deliver teaching techniques to effectively meet the personal, social and academic needs of students;
● Ensure an inclusive environment for students in both the classroom and the greater school;
● Foster positive relationships and attitudes towards all students and staff across the school;
● Be mindful of your pastoral care practices and how your approach impacts students, the school, peers and the greater community.
Essential criteria:
● At minimum a university degree plus a recognised teaching qualification;
● Minimum three (3) years recent in classroom teaching experience;
● Demonstrated experience teaching at Secondary level;
● Demonstrated experience in Cambridge Education;
● Highly proficient in English communication skills, both verbal and written;
● Capacity to instil a high level of trust in students, parents and fellow teachers;
● A willingness to be actively involved in the school’s extra-curricular activities.
Desirable:
● Experience working in an international school environment;
● Recent academic and pastoral leadership experience;
● Knowledge of EAL teaching.

Should the successful candidate be an International engagement, a mandatory employment requirement is that they provide legalised and authenticated copies of identification, qualification, experience and probity documents as required by HAIS and local/national government bodies. The successful candidate will be required to satisfy probity requirements, including the provision of appropriate reference checks, a national and local police check and as determined applicable Work with Children Checks.
